CIE student earns “Most Active Participation Award” at EOC Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassador Scheme 2025/26
Wazir Aimen, CIE student studying Associate Degree in Health Sciences successfully completed the Equal Opportunities Commission's (EOC) Youth Ambassador Scheme 2025/26 and received the Most Active Participation Award. The accolade was presented at a recognition ceremony in June 2026, where the Youth Ambassadors pledged to promote equal opportunities, foster a harassment-free campus, and uphold diversity and inclusion in Hong Kong.
Over the past six months, the participants completed anti-sexual harassment training and joined an array of experiential learning activities, including mental health awareness visits, sporting activities with athletes with disabilities, multicultural community tours, and learnt about accessible environments through engaging with wheelchair users and visiting the Urban Renewal Authority.
Youth Ambassador Wazir Aimen, also a member from the Non-Chinese Speaking Students Buddy Program, received the “Most Active Participation Award.” 55 Youth Ambassadors from 16 tertiary institutions were recruited, but only twelve of them received this recognition for completing all required activities.
The Non-Chinese Speaking Students Buddy Program is specially designed for students who do not speak Chinese. Through guidance from senior students, participants can better understand campus life and academic requirements, share experiences, and build a supportive campus community. The program also helps to foster lasting friendships.
