Student Sharing: Three weeks before heading to Brazil, I immersed myself in an intensive training. It was challenging, but it helped me maintain my mental and physical focus. This event marked my first championship competition in the Nanquan style since switching disciplines, and I was performing a new routine that showcased my evolving identity in this discipline. I felt a mix of nerves and self-doubt. I kept reminding myself to “trust the process” and stay focused, believing in the hard work I had put into my daily training.
